BBWax delivers a chic, clean, and comfortable environment for the unique waxing technique created by owner Carla Martins. Her exclusive method incorporates speed waxing and breathing to minimize discomfort, utilizes the finest soft wax for sensitive skin, and includes extreme attention to detail. Our licensed estheticians complete an training course in BBWax theory and technique. Our team commits to high standards of hygiene by wearing gloves, sanitizing the bed after each session, and never re-using any tools.
CARLA MARTINS
Born and raised on an island in Southern Brazil, Carla Martins graduated with a degree in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Santa Catarina in Florianópolis. Carla's love of fashion and beauty took her career in new directions, and she earned a professional degree in Cosmetology in 2007. Upon moving to the US, she saw the need for Brazilian-style hair removal performed in a timely yet extremely thorough manner to achieve the most effective results with the least discomfort. Receiving her California licensing, she opened BBWax with the goal to inspire women to discover their natural beauty. BBWAx is Carla's dream that became reality.
OLENA SHTETS
Olena is a waxing specialist with over 6 years of experience in waxing. She recently moved to the U.S. from her native Ukraine, where she became a master esthetician. She has been trained in the BBWax technique and took additional training with several well-known skincare brands. She is focused on delivering the best service while taking into consideration each client's specific skin and hair needs.
